Description

Amlovas 2.5 Tablet is a prescription medication manufactured by Macleods Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. It contains Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that helps lower blood pressure and prevent chest pain associated with angina.

Uses:

• Management of high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Prevention and treatment of angina (chest pain)

Mechanism of Action:
Amlodipine works by inhibiting the entry of calcium ions into the smooth muscle cells of the heart and blood vessels. This inhibition leads to relaxation and dilation of blood vessels, reducing the heart’s workload and improving blood flow.

Dosage & Administration:

• Take one tablet daily, with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew.

• Maintain a consistent daily schedule for optimal effectiveness.

Side Effects:

• Dizziness

• Headache

• Fatigue

• Swelling of ankles or feet

• Nausea
