Description

Cilidin T Tablet is prescribed for:

• Hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Prevention of heart attacks and strokes

By combining Cilnidipine and Telmisartan, this medication effectively lowers blood pressure through complementary mechanisms:

• Cilnidipine: Blocks both L-type and N-type calcium channels, leading to vasodilation.

• Telmisartan: Blocks the action of angiotensin II, a substance that narrows blood vessels.

This dual action helps in reducing the risk of cardiovascular events associated with high blood pressure.

Uses:

• Hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Prevention of heart attacks and strokes

Dosage and Administration:

• Dosage: As prescribed by your healthcare provider, typically once daily.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not chew or crush.

• With or Without Food: Can be taken with or without food.

• Consistency: Take at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

Common Side Effects:

• Ankle swelling

• Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk)
