Description

Cortel LN Tablet is an antihypertensive medication formulated to treat essential hypertension in adults. It combines two active ingredients:

• Cilnidipine (10 mg): A calcium channel blocker that inhibits calcium ion influx into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac cells, leading to vasodilation and reduced peripheral vascular resistance.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively blocks the effects of angiotensin II, preventing vasoconstriction and aldosterone release, thereby lowering blood pressure.

This dual-action approach provides a complementary effect, enhancing blood pressure control and offering protective benefits for the heart and kidneys.

Uses:

• Management of essential hypertension in adults

• Reduction of cardiovascular risk, including prevention of heart attack and stroke

Dosage and Administration:

• Take one tablet daily, with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor.

• Swallow the tablet whole; do not chew or crush.

• Consistency is key; take the medication at the same time each day.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness

• Headache

• Fatigue

• Ankle swelling (edema)

• Nausea
