Description

Betamet XL AM Tablet combines two active ingredients:

• Metoprolol Succinate (50 mg): A beta-blocker that works by blocking the effects of certain natural chemicals in the body (such as epinephrine) on the heart and blood vessels. This results in a slower heart rate, reduced blood pressure, and decreased strain on the heart.

• Amlodipine (5 mg): A calcium channel blocker that relaxes and widens blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing the heart’s workload.

Uses:

• Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): By combining Metoprolol and Amlodipine, the tablet effectively lowers blood pressure, reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.

• Angina (Chest Pain): The combination helps prevent chest pain by improving blood flow to the heart muscle.

Dosage and Administration:

• Dosage: The typical dose is one tablet daily, but the exact dosage should be determined by a healthcare provider based on individual health needs.
