Description

BIGOMET SR 500mg Tablet contains Metformin Hydrochloride, an oral antihyperglycemic agent that helps control high blood sugar in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The sustained-release (SR) formulation allows gradual release of the drug, improving gastrointestinal tolerance and enhancing patient compliance.

Mechanism of Action:
Metformin works by decreasing hepatic glucose production, reducing intestinal absorption of glucose, and improving insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.
