Description

Composition:

• Levocetirizine (5 mg): An antihistamine that blocks histamine receptors, reducing allergy symptoms.

• Pseudoephedrine (120 mg): A decongestant that narrows blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion.​

Mechanism of Action:

• Levocetirizine: Reduces allergic reactions by blocking histamine, a substance that causes allergy symptoms.

• Pseudoephedrine: Relieves nasal congestion by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages.​

Uses:

• Relieves symptoms of allergic rhinitis (e.g., sneezing, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes).

• Alleviates nasal and sinus congestion associated with the common cold.​

Dosage:

• Typically taken once daily, with or without food.

• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew.​

Side Effects:

• Common: Dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, and fatigue.

• Serious: Increased blood pressure, urinary retention, and palpitations.​

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol consumption as it may enhance drowsiness.

• Use with caution in individuals with hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, or prostate enlargement.

• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Contraindications:

• Do not use if allergic to any component of the tablet.
