Description

Amlong H Tablet is a prescription antihypertensive medication that combines two active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg) – a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels to lower blood pressure.

• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg) – a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps reduce blood volume by increasing urine output, thereby lowering blood pressure.

This dual-action formulation is used to effectively manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in patients who require more than one agent to achieve target blood pressure levels. By lowering blood pressure, Amlong H helps reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.

The tablet is usually taken once daily, preferably in the morning to avoid nighttime urination. Patients should monitor their blood pressure regularly and follow dietary and lifestyle recommendations provided by their doctor.
