Description

APRIGLIM MF3 Tablet is a combination anti-diabetic medication used to treat adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly when diet, exercise, and monotherapy are insufficient for adequate glycemic control. It contains:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): A sulfonylurea that helps the pancreas release more insulin, thereby lowering blood sugar.

• Metformin Hydrochloride (500 mg SR – sustained release): A biguanide that reduces glucose production in the liver and improves the body’s sensitivity to insulin.

This combination offers dual action: enhancing insulin secretion and improving insulin sensitivity. The sustained-release formulation of Metformin ensures better gastrointestinal tolerance and a gradual release over time.

Indications:

• Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

• When single-agent therapy with either Metformin or Glimepiride is inadequate

Common Side Effects:
