Description

Atorfit CV 40mg Capsule is a fixed-dose combination medication containing Atorvastatin and Clopidogrel, developed by Ajanta Pharma Ltd.

Composition:

• Atorvastatin (40 mg): A statin that inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in cholesterol synthesis in the liver. By reducing cholesterol production, Atorvastatin lowers low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and triglyceride levels while increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): An antiplatelet agent that prevents blood platelets from clumping together, thereby reducing the formation of blood clots. This action helps prevent events such as heart attacks and strokes.

Uses:

• Management of hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol levels)

• Prevention of cardiovascular events, including heart attacks and strokes
