Description

Azovas 16 Tablet is a prescription medication containing Valsartan 160 mg, belonging to the class of drugs known as angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). It works by relaxing blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood and lowering blood pressure.

Uses:

• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Management of heart failure

• Reducing the risk of stroke and heart attack in high-risk patients

• Protecting the kidneys in patients with diabetic nephropathy

Dosage and Administration:

• Strength: 160 mg of Valsartan per tablet

• Taken orally, usually once or twice daily as prescribed

• Can be taken with or without food

Mechanism of Action:

Valsartan blocks the effects of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict. By blocking this hormone, Azovas 16 relaxes blood vessels, reducing blood pressure and improving blood flow.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Fatigue

• Headache

• Elevated potassium levels

• Rare: kidney dysfunction or allergic reactions

Precautions:

• Not recommended during pregnancy

• Monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes regularly

• Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, or heart disease

• Avoid potassium supplements unless prescribed
