Description

Brakke Tablet is a prescription medication that combines two active ingredients:

• Ofloxacin (200 mg): A fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA replication, effectively treating a wide range of bacterial infections.

• Ornidazole (500 mg): An antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent that targets anaerobic bacteria and protozoa by disrupting their DNA.

This combination is particularly effective against infections caused by both aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms.

Uses:

• Gastrointestinal infections (e.g., diarrhea, dysentery)

• Urinary tract infections

• Gynecological infections

• Respiratory tract infections

Dosage:

The dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on the specific infection and patient condition. Typically, it is taken once or twice daily with food. Do not crush or chew the tablet; swallow it whole with water.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dizziness, and headache. Serious side effects are rare but can include tendonitis, tendon rupture, and central nervous system effects such as confusion or seizures. If any unusual symptoms occur, contact your healthcare provider immediately.

Precautions:

• Alcohol: Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment, as it may increase the risk of side effects.
