CLOPIVAS AP 150MG TAB

Description

CLOPIVAS AP 150MG Tablets are a combination medication containing clopidogrel bisulfate 75 mg and aspirin 75 mg. This fixed-dose combination is used to prevent blood clot formation in patients at high risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, and other complications related to atherosclerosis.

Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet agent that inhibits platelet aggregation by selectively blocking the ADP receptor on platelets, while aspirin works by irreversibly inhibiting the cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) enzyme, reducing thromboxane A2 production which also decreases platelet activation.

Uses:

• Prevention of recurrent stroke and myocardial infarction

• Management of acute coronary syndrome (ACS)

• Reducing the risk of thrombotic cardiovascular events in patients with peripheral arterial disease or recent coronary interventions

Dosage:
Usually prescribed as one tablet (containing 75 mg clopidogrel and 75 mg aspirin) once daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Precautions:
Patients with a history of bleeding disorders, peptic ulcers, or allergy to aspirin or clopidogrel should use with caution. Concurrent use with other blood-thinning medications requires medical supervision due to increased bleeding risk.
