Description

CTD-T AM 12.5/40/5 TAB is a fixed-dose combination medication comprising 12.5 mg Hydrochlorothiazide, 40 mg Telmisartan, and 5 mg Amlodipine. This triple therapy is indicated for the treatment of hypertension in patients who require multiple agents to achieve optimal blood pressure control.

Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that promotes the elimination of excess sodium and water, thereby reducing blood volume. Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking the effects of angiotensin II, a substance that narrows blood vessels. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that further dilates blood vessels by inhibiting calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle cells.
