AUGMENTIN 375MG TABS

Description

Augmentin 375mg Tablet is a widely used prescription antibiotic that combines two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (250 mg) – a penicillin-class antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting the synthesis of their cell walls.

• Clavulanic Acid (125 mg) – a beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents bacteria from becoming resistant to amoxicillin.

This synergistic combination makes the tablet effective against a broad range of bacterial infections that may not respond to amoxicillin alone.

Indications:

• Respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, sinusitis, pneumonia)

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Dental infections

• Ear infections (e.g., otitis media)

Dosage and Administration:

• Commonly prescribed as one tablet taken every 8 or 12 hours, as directed by a doctor.

• Should be taken with food to improve absorption and reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects.

• Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve early.

Precautions:

• Not suitable for individuals allergic to penicillins or beta-lactam antibiotics.
