Description

CETIL-CV 500 Tablet is a prescription antibiotic that combines two active ingredients:

• Cefuroxime Axetil (500 mg): A second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the elimination of bacteria.

• Clavulanic Acid (125 mg): A beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents certain bacteria from inactivating Cefuroxime, thereby extending its spectrum of activity.

Indications:

CETIL-CV 500 Tablet is used to treat various bacterial infections, including:

• Respiratory tract infections: Such as bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, and tonsillitis.

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs): Including cystitis and pyelonephritis.

• Skin and soft tissue infections: Like cellulitis and impetigo.

• Ear infections: Such as otitis media.

• Bone and joint infections: Including osteomyelitis.

• Sexually transmitted infections: Such as gonorrhea.

• Lyme disease: Particularly in early stages.

Dosage and Administration:

• The dosage of CETIL-CV 500 Tablet depends on the type and severity of the infection, as well as the patient’s age and kidney function.

• It is usually taken twice daily, with or after food, to enhance absorption and reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.

• The tablet should be swallowed whole with water and not crushed or chewed.

• It is important to complete the full course of the antibiotic, even if symptoms improve, to prevent the development of antibiotic resistance.
