Amcard-AT Tablet is a combination medication used to manage:
-
Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): Amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker) and Atenolol (a beta-blocker) work together to relax blood vessels and reduce heart rate, effectively lowering blood pressure.
-
Angina (Chest Pain): By improving blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart, this combination helps reduce the frequency and severity of angina attacks.
Description
Amcard-AT Tablet combines two antihypertensive agents:
-
Amlodipine (5 mg): A calcium channel blocker that dilates blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing the heart’s workload.
-
Atenolol (50 mg): A beta-blocker that decreases heart rate and the force of heart contractions, leading to lower blood pressure and reduced oxygen demand by the heart.
Together, these medications effectively manage high blood pressure and angina, reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
