Description

Atorva 5 mg Tablet contains Atorvastatin 5 mg, a lipid-lowering medication from the statin group. It is used to manage mild to moderate hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, especially in patients who require a lower starting dose or are sensitive to higher statin doses. Atorvastatin works by inhibiting the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme, reducing cholesterol synthesis in the liver. This leads to decreased LDL (bad cholesterol), increased HDL (good cholesterol), and lower triglyceride levels.
