Description

AQUAZIDE 12.5mg Tablets contain hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic (commonly known as a “water pill”) used primarily for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and edema (fluid retention) associated with conditions such as congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, or kidney disorders. By increasing the excretion of sodium and water from the kidneys, it helps lower blood pressure and reduce swelling. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This medication is typically taken once daily, with or without food. Regular monitoring of electrolytes and kidney function is advised during therapy.
