CLAMP-DROPS

Description

CLAMP-DROPS is a combination antibiotic containing:

• Amoxycillin (80 mg): A penicillin-type antibiotic that inhibits the growth of bacteria by interfering with the formation of their cell walls.

• Clavulanic Acid (11.4 mg): A beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents certain bacteria from breaking down Amoxycillin, thereby enhancing its effectiveness.

Uses:

This formulation is prescribed for the treatment of various bacterial infections in children, including:

• Respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis)

• Urinary tract infections

• Ear and sinus infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

Dosage and Administration:

• The dosage is determined by the child’s weight and the severity of the infection.

• It is generally recommended to take the suspension with food to reduce the risk of stomach upset.
