AMLOVAS-5 – TAB

Description

Amlovas 5 Tablet is a calcium channel blocker that helps lower blood pressure and prevent chest pain associated with angina. By inhibiting calcium ion influx into vascular smooth muscle and myocardial cells, it causes vasodilation, reducing vascular resistance and improving oxygen delivery to the heart muscle.

Uses:

• Management of high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Prevention and treatment of angina (chest pain)

• Support in chronic heart failure and abnormal heart rhythms

Dosage & Administration:

• Take as prescribed by your doctor.

• Can be taken with or without food.

• Preferably take at the same time each day for consistent blood levels.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness

• Headache

• Fatigue

• Swelling of ankles or feet

• Nausea

Precautions:

• Avoid sudden discontinuation; consult your doctor before stopping.

• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.

• Avoid alcohol and grapefruit juice during treatment.

• Use with caution in individuals with kidney or liver conditions.
