Description

Cortel A Tablet is prescribed when monotherapy is insufficient to control blood pressure. The dual action of Telmisartan and Amlodipine provides effective blood pressure management:

• Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that prevents blood vessel constriction, thereby lowering blood pressure.

• Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) that relaxes and widens blood vessels, further aiding in blood pressure reduction.

 Dosage and Administration

• Dosage: Typically, one tablet daily, as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with or without food.

• Timing: Preferably taken at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

 Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Swelling in hands or feet

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Headache

• Flushing (redness of the face)

• Back pain

• Fatigue

• Nausea or diarrhea
