Description

Amaryl M 2 Tablets (15s) are a combination oral antidiabetic medication used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. Each tablet contains glimepiride 2 mg, a sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin release from the pancreas, and metformin (usually 500 mg or 1000 mg, depending on the formulation), a biguanide that decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.

This fixed-dose combination is typically prescribed when blood glucose levels are not adequately controlled by either drug alone. It provides dual action by enhancing insulin secretion and reducing insulin resistance. The tablets are usually taken once or twice daily with meals to minimize gastrointestinal side effects and reduce the risk of hypoglycemia.
