Uses:

• Management of hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Prevention and treatment of angina pectoris (chest pain)

• Renal parenchymal hypertension (high blood pressure due to kidney problems)

How It Works:
Benidipine relaxes the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood, thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing the heart’s workload. This also improves blood flow to the heart muscle, preventing chest pain (angina) .

Side Effects:

• Headache

• Dizziness

• Fatigue

• Ankle swelling (edema)

• Flushing

• Palpitations (rapid heartbeat)

• Nausea

• Sleepiness

• Skin rash

Precautions:

• Avoid consumption of grapefruit juice as it may increase the absorption of Benidipine, leading to excessive lowering of blood pressure .

• Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney problems; dose adjustments may be necessary.

• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding; consult your doctor before use.

• May cause dizziness; avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if affected.
