Description

Calaptin 40 mg Tablet is a prescription medication manufactured by Abbott India Ltd. Its active ingredient, Verapamil, is a non-dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. By inhibiting calcium ion entry into heart and blood vessel cells, Verapamil causes blood vessels to relax and dilate, leading to:

• Lowered blood pressure

• Reduced chest pain (angina)

• Controlled heart rate in certain arrhythmias

Common Uses:

• Hypertension: Helps lower high blood pressure, reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.
