Mechanism of Action:
Deflazacort is a corticosteroid that mimics the body’s natural anti-inflammatory hormones. It decreases the formation of chemical substances involved in inflammation and suppresses the immune system to prevent self-damage caused by autoimmune reactions.

Uses:

• Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD)

• Asthma

• Arthritis

• Allergic conditions

• Autoimmune diseases

• Post-transplantation to suppress the immune system

Dosage:

• Administered orally, with or without food.

• Shake well before use.

• Measure the prescribed dose using a proper measuring device.

• Do not stop abruptly; consult a doctor for tapering the dose.

• Cushing’s syndrome

• Excessive hair growth

• Frequent urination

• Cough

• Upper respiratory tract infections

Precautions:
