CEPODEM XP 325 TAB

Description

Cepodem XP 325 Tablet is a combination of two active ingredients:

• Cefpodoxime Proxetil (200 mg): A third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the elimination of the bacteria.

• Clavulanic Acid (125 mg): A beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents certain bacteria from resisting the effects of antibiotics, thereby enhancing the efficacy of cefpodoxime.

This combination is effective against a broad spectrum of bacterial infections, including:

• Respiratory tract infections: Such as sinusitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia.

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Tonsillitis and pharyngitis

Dosage and Administration:

• The typical dosage is one tablet taken orally every 12 hours.

• It is advisable to take the tablet with food to enhance absorption and reduce the risk of gastrointestinal discomfort.

• The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the infection and should be determined by a healthcare professional.
