Description

Composition:

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate (2 mg/5 ml): An antihistamine that helps reduce allergy symptoms like sneezing and runny nose.

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (10 mg/5 ml): A cough suppressant that acts on the brain’s cough center to reduce the urge to cough.

• Phenylephrine (5 mg/5 ml): A decongestant that narrows the blood vessels in the nasal passages, leading to reduced swelling and congestion.

Indications:

Alkof Junior Syrup is primarily used for:

• Relieving dry cough

• Alleviating nasal congestion

• Reducing symptoms of the common cold

• Managing allergic rhinitis

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml every 4 hours, up to a maximum of 6 doses in 24 hours.

• Children aged 6 to 12 years: 5 ml every 4 hours, up to a maximum of 6 doses in 24 hours.

• Children aged 2 to 6 years: 2.5 ml every 4 hours, up to a maximum of 6 doses in 24 hours.

Shake the bottle well before use. Measure the prescribed dose using a proper measuring device. It can be taken with or without food.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

• Drowsiness

• Dizziness

• Dry mouth

• Nausea or vomiting

• Headache

• Loss of appetite

• Blurred vision

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol consumption as it may enhance drowsiness.
