Description

Alakast FA Tablet is a combination of three active ingredients:

• Montelukast (10 mg): A leukotriene receptor antagonist that reduces inflammation and constriction in the airways, helping to prevent asthma attacks and alleviate allergic symptoms.

• Fexofenadine (120 mg): An antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, a substance responsible for allergic reactions, thereby providing relief from symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes.

• Acebrophylline (200 mg): A mucolytic agent that helps in thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose, making it easier to cough out and improving breathing.

Uses:

• Prevention and treatment of asthma.

• Relief from allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, watery eyes, and congestion.

Dosage:

• Take one tablet daily, preferably with food, or as advised by your doctor.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not chew or break it.

Side Effects:

• Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, skin rash, heartburn, and stomach discomfort.

• If any of these persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication, as it may increase drowsiness.

• Use with caution if you have liver or kidney problems; dose adjustments may be necessary.
