Description

AMIGOLD-50 Tablet is indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia, a serious mental disorder that affects a person’s ability to think, feel, and behave clearly. It contains Amisulpride, an atypical antipsychotic that selectively blocks dopamine D2 and D3 receptors in the limbic system, which is believed to contribute to its antipsychotic effects.

By modulating dopamine activity, AMIGOLD-50 helps alleviate symptoms such as delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized thinking. It may also be used in the treatment of bipolar disorder and to manage postoperative nausea and vomiting when combined with other antiemetic drugs.

Dosage and Administration:

• Dosage: As prescribed by your healthcare provider.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew.

• Frequency: Typically taken once or twice daily, depending on the doctor’s recommendation.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness or drowsiness

• Dry mouth

• Constipation

• Weight gain

• Increased prolactin levels, leading to symptoms like breast enlargement or unexpected milk production

• Blurred vision

• Nausea or vomiting

• Tremors or muscle stiffness

Precautions:

• Allergy: Do not use if allergic to Amisulpride or any other components of the tablet.

• Heart Conditions: Use with caution if you have a history of heart problems, as Amisulpride may cause QT prolongation.
