Description

Amixide Tablet is a combination medication that contains:

• Amitriptyline (25 mg): A tricyclic antidepressant that works by increasing the levels of certain neurotransmitters (serotonin and norepinephrine) in the brain, which helps improve mood and alleviate depressive symptoms.

• Chlordiazepoxide (10 mg): A benzodiazepine that acts as an anxiolytic, reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation by enhancing the action of a neurotransmitter called GABA.

This combination is particularly effective for individuals experiencing moderate to severe depression with associated anxiety. It may also be prescribed for conditions like insomnia, neuropathic pain, and migraine prevention.

Dosage and Administration:

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush.

• Timing: Typically taken after meals to reduce stomach irritation.
