Description

9 PM Eye Drops (2.5ml), produced by Cipla Ltd, are designed to reduce elevated intraocular pressure, a key risk factor for glaucoma and potential vision loss. The active ingredient, Latanoprost, works by increasing the outflow of fluid from the eye, thereby decreasing pressure.​

Key Features:

• Active Ingredient: Latanoprost 0.005% w/v

• Formulation: Sterile ophthalmic solution

• Packaging: 2.5 ml dropper bottle

• Storage Instructions: Unopened bottles should be stored in a refrigerator (2–8°C). Once opened, the bottle can be kept at room temperature (up to 25°C) for up to 6 weeks. ​

Indications:

9 PM Eye Drops are prescribed for:​

• Open-angle glaucoma

• Ocular hypertension​

Dosage and Administration:

• Recommended Usage: Instill one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening.

• Application Tips: After instillation, close the eye and apply gentle pressure to the inner corner for about 1 minute to prevent systemic absorption.

• Note: If using other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes before applying the next medication. ​

Precautions:

• Consult a healthcare provider before use if pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

• Not recommended for individuals with a known hypersensitivity to Latanoprost or any component of the formulation.

• Exercise caution in patients with a history of eye infections or ocular surgery.​

Potential Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:​

• Eye irritation

• Conjunctival hyperemia (redness)

• Eyelash changes (e.g., increased length, thickness, or pigmentation)

• Darkening of the iris (may be permanent)​

Less common effects can involve:​
