Description

Composition:

• Cefuroxime Axetil – 500 mg

• Clavulanic Acid – 125 mg

Mechanism of Action:

• Cefuroxime Axetil: A second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.

• Clavulanic Acid: A beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents certain bacteria from destroying the antibiotic, thereby enhancing the efficacy of cefuroxime.

Uses:

Acef-CV Tablet is commonly prescribed for:

• Respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis)

• Urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Sinus infections

• Gonorrhea

• Lyme disease

Dosage and Administration:

• Take the tablet as prescribed by your healthcare provider.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush.

• It is recommended to take the tablet with food to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.

Side Effects:
