Description

ACTSITA D TAB is a fixed-dose combination medication used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains two active ingredients: Sitagliptin (50 mg) and Metformin (500 mg). The combination of these two drugs targets blood glucose control through complementary mechanisms:

1. Sitagliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor) works by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4, which breaks down incretin hormones like GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1).
