Description

ADILIP 135MG Tablet is a lipid-lowering medication that contains Choline Fenofibrate (135 mg), a derivative of fenofibric acid. It belongs to the fibrate class of drugs and is primarily used to manage dyslipidemia, particularly elevated triglycerides and LDL cholesterol, while increasing HDL cholesterol levels. This helps reduce the risk of atherosclerosis, cardiovascular events, and other complications related to high lipid levels.

Choline Fenofibrate works by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARα), which increase the breakdown of triglycerides and reduce the production of very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL). It is especially useful in patients with mixed dyslipidemia or those who are intolerant to statins.
