Description

Alaspan AM Tablet is a prescription medication formulated to manage symptoms associated with cough and seasonal allergic rhinitis. It combines two active ingredients:

• Ambroxol (60 mg): A mucolytic agent that works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. This facilitates easier removal of mucus through coughing and helps in reducing congestion.

• Loratadine (5 mg): An antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, a substance responsible for allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, and itchy or watery eyes.

Uses:

• Relief from symptoms of seasonal allergies, including sneezing, runny or blocked nose, and itchy or watery eyes.

• Treatment of cough associated with respiratory tract infections.

Dosage:

• Take one tablet daily, with or without food, or as directed by your healthcare provider.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not chew or break it.

Side Effects:

• Common side effects may include headache, drowsiness, fatigue, dry mouth, and upset stomach.

• Serious side effects are rare but may include allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing.

Precautions:

• Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

• Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication, as it may increase drowsiness.
