Description

ALERID Syrup 30 ml contains Cetirizine, a second-generation antihistamine that effectively blocks histamine receptors, thereby reducing allergy symptoms. It is commonly prescribed for:

• Allergic Rhinitis: Symptoms include sneezing, runny or blocked nose, itchy or watery eyes.

• Chronic Urticaria: Characterized by red, raised, and itchy skin hives.

• Other Allergic Conditions: Such as insect bites, dust or pet allergies, and hay fever.

This medication is suitable for adults and children aged 2 years and above. It is typically taken once daily, preferably in the evening, to minimize potential drowsiness.

Dosage & Administration:

• Recommended Dose: 5 ml once daily.

• Administration: Shake well before use. Use the provided measuring cup or spoon to ensure accurate dosing. Can be taken with or without food.

• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose—do not double the dose.

Side Effects:

• Drowsiness or sleepiness

• Sore throat

• Nausea or diarrhea
