Description

Composition:

• Active Ingredient: Disodium Hydrogen Citrate – 1.37 g per 100 ml.

Indications:

Alkalith Syrup is indicated for:

• Management of gout: Helps in reducing the frequency of gout attacks.

• Prevention and treatment of kidney stones: Particularly effective against uric acid and cystine stones.

Mechanism of Action:

Disodium Hydrogen Citrate works by:

• Increasing urine pH, making it less acidic.

• Enhancing the solubility of uric acid, thereby preventing its crystallization.

• Promoting the excretion of excess uric acid through urine.

Dosage & Administration:

• Dosage: As prescribed by your healthcare provider.

• Administration: Shake the bottle well before use. Measure the prescribed amount using a proper measuring device. It can be taken with or without food. To minimize stomach upset, it is advisable to take it after meals.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

• Stomach pain
