Description

Amaryl MV 1mg Tablet (10s) is an oral antidiabetic medication that combines three active ingredients:

  • Glimepiride (1 mg): A sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, thereby lowering blood glucose levels.

  • Metformin Hydrochloride (500 mg): A biguanide that decreases glucose production in the liver, delays intestinal absorption of glucose, and improves insulin sensitivity.

  • Voglibose (0.2 mg): An alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that delays the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates in the intestines, preventing rapid spikes in blood sugar levels after meals.

This combination enhances glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly when monotherapy with either glimepiride, metformin, or voglibose is inadequate.

Dosage & Administration: The tablet should be taken once daily with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew. The exact dosage and duration are determined by a healthcare provider based on individual blood glucose levels and response to treatment.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
