Description

AMITRIL DS Tablet is a combination medication that contains:

• Amitriptyline (25 mg): A tricyclic antidepressant that works by increasing the levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, which helps improve mood and alleviate pain.

• Chlordiazepoxide (10 mg): A benzodiazepine that acts as an anxiolytic, reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation.

This combination is particularly effective for individuals experiencing mental depression along with anxiety, nervousness, and tension. It may also be prescribed for conditions like insomnia, neuropathic pain, and migraine prevention.

Dosage and Administration:

• Dosage: Follow the prescribing doctor’s instructions.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush.

• Timing: Typically taken before bedtime due to its sedative effects.
