AMLOKIND 2.5 MG

Description

Amlokind 2.5 MG Tablet is used to treat:

• High blood pressure (hypertension)

• Chest pain (angina pectoris)

• Certain heart conditions, such as coronary artery disease

It contains Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing the heart’s workload. This leads to lower blood pressure and improved oxygen supply to the heart, helping to prevent chest pain.

Dosage & Administration:

• Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew.

• It can be taken with or without food.

• Take it at the same time each day to help remember.

Common Side Effects:

• Headache

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Swelling of the ankles or feet

• Fatigue

• Nausea or abdominal discomfort

• Flushing

• Palpitations (awareness of heartbeat)

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, heart conditions, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice, as it can increase the levels of Amlodipine in your blood, leading to potential side effects.

• Do not stop taking this medication abruptly without consulting your doctor, as it may cause a sudden increase in blood pressure.
