Description

Angiosart H 80mg Tablet is manufactured by Medichem Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and is primarily used for:

• Hypertension: Lowering high blood pressure to reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems.

• Combination Therapy: Utilized when a single medication is insufficient to control blood pressure effectively.

Mechanism of Action

• Telmisartan: Blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict. By inhibiting this action, Telmisartan helps relax and widen blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

• Hydrochlorothiazide: Increases urine production, removing excess sodium and water from the body, which helps lower blood pressure.

Dosage and Administration

• Dosage: Typically, one tablet (80 mg Telmisartan + 12.5 mg Hydrochlorothiazide) once daily.

• Administration: Can be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
