Description

Antiflu 75 mg Capsule is an antiviral medication that works by inhibiting the neuraminidase enzyme, which is essential for the influenza virus to replicate and spread within the body. By blocking this enzyme, Antiflu helps reduce the severity and duration of flu symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, and fatigue. It is most effective when taken within 48 hours of the onset of symptoms.

Uses:

• Treatment of acute, uncomplicated influenza in adults and children aged 14 years and older.

• Prevention of influenza in individuals who have been exposed to the virus but are not yet showing symptoms.

Dosage:
The typical dosage for adults and children over 14 years is 75 mg twice daily for 5 days. For prevention, the usual dose is 75 mg once daily for at least 10 days following exposure. Dosage may vary based on individual health conditions; always follow the prescribing doctor’s instructions.

Side Effects:
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and headache. These side effects are generally mild and may subside as the body adjusts to the medication.
