Description

Composition: Each cartridge contains 3 ml of solution, providing 300 Units of insulin glulisine (100 Units/ml).

Mechanism of Action: Insulin glulisine is a recombinant human insulin analogue that facilitates glucose uptake by muscle and fat cells and inhibits glucose production by the liver, thereby lowering blood glucose levels.

Administration: Apidra is intended for subcutaneous injection using specific reusable insulin pens, such as JuniorSTAR, ClikSTAR, Tactipen, Autopen 24, AllStar, or AllStar PRO. It should not be used with other pens.

Storage: Store Apidra in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C). Before use, allow the cartridge to reach room temperature for 1 to 2 hours.

Precautions: Apidra should not be used if you have hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). It should be used with caution in individuals with liver, kidney, or heart disease, as well as in the elderly. Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Side Effects: Common side effects include hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), injection site reactions (such as redness, itching, or swelling), and allergic reactions.
