Description

APRIGLIM M4 Tablet is a prescription oral anti-diabetic medication used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is a fixed-dose combination of two active ingredients:

• Metformin (500 mg) – a biguanide that decreases hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal absorption of glucose, and improves insulin sensitivity.

• Glimepiride (4 mg) – a sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells.

Together, they help regulate blood sugar levels more effectively than either drug alone, particularly in patients whose diabetes is not adequately controlled by diet, exercise, or monotherapy. It is typically used as part of a comprehensive diabetes management plan that includes lifestyle changes.
