Description

Arifine 2.5 mg Tablet is prescribed for:

• Schizophrenia

• Bipolar I disorder (acute manic and mixed episodes)

• Major depressive disorder (as an adjunctive treatment)

• Irritability associated with autistic disorder

• Tourette’s disorder

Mechanism of Action:

Aripiprazole, the active ingredient in Arifine 2.5 mg Tablet, is a partial agonist at dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT1A receptors and an antagonist at 5-HT2A receptors. This unique action helps to balance the levels of these neurotransmitters in the brain, which can alleviate symptoms of various psychiatric disorders.

Dosage and Administration:

• Recommended Dose: Typically, 2.5 mg once daily.

• Administration: Take with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.

• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not double doses.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

• Headache

• Nausea and vomiting

• Dizziness or drowsiness

• Blurred vision

• Restlessness or akathisia (inability to sit still)

• Weight gain

• Increased saliva production

• Anxiety or insomnia

Precautions:

• Allergy: Avoid if allergic to Aripiprazole or any other components of the tablet.

• Medical History: Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures, heart problems, liver disease, or diabetes.
