Uses:

Arpizol 30mg Tablet is primarily prescribed for:

• Schizophrenia: To alleviate symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions.

• Bipolar Disorder: To manage manic episodes.

• Major Depressive Disorder: As an adjunct to other antidepressants when the response is inadequate.

• Irritability Associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder: To reduce symptoms such as aggression and mood swings.

• Tourette’s Syndrome: To decrease the frequency and severity of tics.

Mechanism of Action:

Aripiprazole functions by stabilizing and blocking dopamine and serotonin receptors in the brain, preventing overactivity. This action helps control both positive symptoms (such as hallucinations and delusions) and negative symptoms (like social isolation and lack of emotion) of schizophrenia.

Dosage and Administration:

• Take as prescribed by your doctor.

• May be taken with or without food.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew.

• Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it may worsen the condition or cause withdrawal symptoms.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

• Drowsiness

• Akathisia (inability to sit still)
