Uses:

Articlor 125mg Dry Syrup is prescribed for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including:

• Respiratory tract infections (e.g., tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis)

• Lung infections (e.g., pneumonia)

• Sinus infections (e.g., sinusitis)

• Middle ear infections (e.g., otitis media)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Urinary tract infections (e.g., cystitis, pyelonephritis)

Mechanism of Action:

Cefaclor works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, leading to the rupture and death of the bacteria. This action helps to eliminate the infection-causing bacteria from the body.

Dosage and Administration:

• Reconstitute the dry syrup by adding the specified amount of water as directed on the label.

• Shake well before each use.

• Administer the prescribed dose using the measuring spoon or dropper provided.

• For optimal absorption, give the syrup an hour before or two hours after meals. If gastrointestinal upset occurs, it may be taken with food.

• Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed, even if symptoms improve, to prevent the recurrence of the infection.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

• Diarrhea

• Nausea or vomiting

• Abdominal pain

• Skin rash

Serious side effects are rare but may include:

• Severe allergic reactions (e.g., difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat)

• Persistent diarrhea
