Arvast-CF 10 Capsule is a lipid-lowering medication that combines Rosuvastatin and Fenofibrate to effectively manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Description
Composition:
-
Rosuvastatin (10 mg): An HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor that lowers low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and triglycerides while increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol.
-
Fenofibrate (135 mg): A fibric acid derivative that primarily reduces triglyceride levels and modestly increases HDL cholesterol.
Mechanism of Action:
-
Rosuvastatin: Inhibits the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which is involved in the production of cholesterol in the liver, leading to decreased cholesterol levels.
-
Fenofibrate: Activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), enhancing the breakdown of triglycerides and increasing HDL cholesterol levels.
Indications:
-
Management of combined hyperlipidemia (elevated levels of both cholesterol and triglycerides).
-
Reduction of cardiovascular risk in patients with elevated lipid levels.
Dosage:
-
Typically, one capsule daily, preferably with food.
-
Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush.

Follow the dosage and duration as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
