Description

ASOMEX-D Tablet is a fixed-dose combination medication used primarily for the treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure). It combines two active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): A calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily.

• Indapamide (1.5 mg SR): A thiazide-like diuretic with long-acting properties that helps remove excess salt and fluid through urine, reducing blood volume and pressure.

This dual mechanism makes ASOMEX-D effective in controlling blood pressure, especially in patients not adequately managed with monotherapy. It also helps in reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and other cardiovascular complications in hypertensive patients.
