Description

Atocor 20 mg Tablet contains Atorvastatin 20 mg, a statin medication that works by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which plays a crucial role in cholesterol production in the liver. This reduces LDL cholesterol (the “bad” cholesterol), triglycerides, and increases HDL cholesterol (the “good” cholesterol).

Atocor 20 mg is prescribed for:

• Primary hypercholesterolemia (high LDL cholesterol)

• Mixed dyslipidemia (high LDL and triglycerides)

• Prevention of cardiovascular events (e.g., heart attack, stroke, atherosclerosis) in patients at high risk, including those with diabetes, hypertension, or existing cardiovascular conditions.
